We are enjoying this campsite. The weather has been fabulous here. Sunny and the high 80's but dry, so comfortable. I have been thinking of Bob P., Leen V., Tyler P because there are a lot of motorcycles around. Every town has at least one Harley D. dealership. They have a huge Motorcycle Rally in August at a town called Sturgis. 400,000 people come. The roads here are windy so the riders love it. So pack up your bikes and head to South Dakota! We went for another scenic drive today around the Black Hills. Saw the town of Deadwood, Where Wild Bill Hickok was shot in the back in a saloon! The area around here is where they filmed the movie, Dances With Wolves.We leave for points East tomorrow. So long for now.

Supposed to be hot here - forecast high 36 on Tuesday- that means at least 40 for us
We too noticed the motorcycle abundance, particularly in Montana. Typically old fat guys astride giant Harleys with no helmets and a death wish. They appear in fact have little to lose but we hoped not to accompany them over the cliff.
ReplyDeleteThe heat wave will eventually take over the entire western half of North America, they say. Possibly the hottest temperature ever recorded on Earth may be set on Saturday in Furnace Creek (Death Valley)at 55C.
